Tonight, Monday, October 5 is our annual winetasting to benefit Fort Greene Park with over 100 wines open for you to try. In the 2 past years of this event, we’ve raised over $35,000 to support the efforts of the Fort Greene Park Conservancy to celebrate and improve this historic park.
Ah but this is the first year we have our secret weapons: the staff at Provisions. They’re preparing quite a smorgasbord. From our butcher’s Housemade Roast Beef with Herbed Butter on Focaccia Romana to the devilish deli manager Daniel’s Roasted Pork with Butternut Squash Hot Sauce and Brussel Sprout slaw served on Foccacia Quadrata, mini-cups of his Seasonal Curried Corn Chowder and Sweet Potato Pecan Butter to spread on our fresh-baked bread, we think your savory side will be sated. Add in the cheese counter’s selections from Roaring 40′s blue to wheels of brie, charcuterie like finocchia salami, crudite, fresh fruit and mini-brownies from Baked in Red Hook and we wonder if you’ll even get to the wines.
General admission is available with a $80 advance donation (AVAILABLE UNTIL 3PM TODAY) or a $90 donation at the door. A donation of $150 to the Conservancy entitles you to attend the VIP tasting class from 6-8pm given by wine expert Evan Spingarn.
