We’re proud to announce that Kyle Huebbe, the winner of Brooklyn Paper’s recent burger contest, served his award-winning burger on a portugese muffin from Central Bakery purchased at Greene Grape Provisions. Yes, this is a tenuous connection to greatness. After all, we didn’t bake the muffins – that honor goes to a small, family-run bakery in Fall River, Massachusetts that bakes them according to a traditional family recipe using butter and real milk. We merely provided Kyle with the muffins. But we’ll take what we can get. I mean someone sold Dorothy Hamill her first pair of skates, right? How come you never hear about that guy?
Kyle, we’re rooting for you at New York Wine and Food Festival’s Burger Bash in DUMBO Friday night. Bring that title home to Brooklyn, baby!
