Cheese, the real star
So if you were in Provisions yesterday, you saw lovely Laura from the cheese counter surrounded by cameras. The occasion was a delivery from Beekman 1802 of the Beekman Blaak cheese by owner Brent Ridge himself, the new star of a green-lighted Planet Green series “The Fabulous Beekman Boys”. The series will track Brent and his partner as they develop their farm in Sharon Springs, New York.
Ah but the real star is the cheese. Made from raw goat and cow’s milk, it was a surprise hit with a 4 1/2 year old picky eater. As the cheese counter puts it “expect nuttiness and fruitiness” (from both the cheese and the child).
