This Wednesday, March 17 from 5-7pm, we’re thrilled to welcome the founder of Yellow+Blue wines, Matthew Cain, to the store to pour his Chilean sauvignon blanc, delicious wine that was selected by New York Magazine as a ‘must have’ accessory for spring. We think this event is a perfect fit for St. Patty’s Day because Matt’s wines reflect his commitment to keeping wine consumption green. He sources grapes from organic vineyards and uses Tetra pak cartons instead of bottles, cutting down on carbon emissions from transport. Another advantage of the tetrapak is that each package contains a full liter of wine – 1/3 more than a regular 750 ml bottle. So $13 for his crisp, refreshing sauvignon blanc works out to under $9 a bottle. We’ll drink to that!
Our cheesemongers will be providing some delicious treats to pair with the wines including the first goat cheese of the season. Stay tuned for more details.
